چکیده

Abstract The novel aircraft architectures for Urban Air Mobility (UAM), combined with pure on-demand operations, mean a significant change in operation and maintenance compared to traditional airliners. Future flight missions related variables such as the position or utilisation are unknown operation. Consequently, existing methods optimise assignment planning cannot be transferred. This study examines behaviour of an fleet UAM transport system regarding interlinking between maintenance. Initially, potential schedule vehicles is deduced. A simulation introduced where modelled agents servicing simple network. As reach their intervals, they transfer one bases compete that resource. Since competition can result avoidable waiting times, costs extended by running opportunity missed revenue during these periods. Opportunity cost drivers. To reduce two operational approaches examined: Extending opening hours facilities checking earlier simultaneous demand. While extension operating reduces overall costs, adjustment tasks more effective lower times. Thus, improved needs use approach. That combination results approximately $ 58 per hour which about seven percent account costs.

Integrated Inspection Planning and Preventive Maintenance for a Markov Deteriorating System Under Scenario-based Demand Uncertainty

In this paper, a single-product, single-machine system under Markovian deterioration of machine condition and demand uncertainty is studied.  The objective is to find the optimal intervals for inspection and preventive maintenance activities in a condition-based maintenance planning with discrete monitoring framework. At first, a stochastic dynamic programming model whose state variable is the ...

4D geomechanical simulations for field development planning

3D and 4D geomechanical can be time-consuming to build and calibrate. However, once such a model is built, it is relative straightforward to use this model for various field development and management applications. In so doing, the return on the initial investment of time and effort in the creation of a 4D geomechanical model can be substantial. I present a case study where a 4D geomechanical m...

Tire demand planning based on reliability and operating environment

Tires represent a critical spare part in mines. There is a shortage of medium and large tires. In addition, with increased mining activities and the creation of new mines, the demand for tires has increased significantly. Thus, it is particularly important for mining engineers to identify tire characteristics and correctly manage the spare part inventory. Spare parts management is critical from...

Testing demand responsive shared transport services via agent-based simulations

Demand Responsive Shared Transport (DRST) services take advantage of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), to provide “on demand” transport services booking in real time a ride on a shared vehicle. In this paper, an agent-based model (ABM) is presented to test different the feasibility of different service configurations in a real context. First results show the impact of route choi...
